Landscape Crew Lead (Foreman Track)
Summit Landscapes is seeking a dependable, motivated Landscape Crew Lead to work directly with the owner and be trained into a Foreman role. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on landscape experience who wants more responsibility, leadership, and long-term growth.
You will start in the field, learning our systems, standards, and workflows, with the expectation of taking on increasing leadership—eventually running jobs and supervising crew members. This is not a seasonal filler role; we are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work directly alongside the owner on daily landscape operations
- Lead by example on job sites with quality, efficiency, and professionalism
- Assist with planning and executing landscape and hardscape projects
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment and tools safely
- Communicate job expectations clearly to crew members
- Ensure work meets company standards and client expectations
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
- Read and follow job plans, layouts, and instructions
- Identify issues on site and communicate solutions proactively
- Take on increasing leadership responsibilities over time
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, hardscaping, or construction
- Strong work ethic and reliability — shows up on time, every day
- Ability to take direction and also work independently
- Comfortable leading by example and earning respect on site
- Basic knowledge of tools, materials, and job site safety
- Physically capable of outdoor labor in changing weather conditions
- Good communication skills with crew members and clients
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Desire to grow into a leadership/foreman role
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Experience leading a crew or running job sites
- Equipment operation (skid steer, mini-excavator, etc.)
- Hardscape or irrigation experience
- Ability to read plans or do basic layout
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
