Job Summary/Objective:

The Director of Clinical Quality is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting clinical quality monitoring and improvement initiatives. The director will focus on activities related to CCBHC, Medicaid, CARF, and Summit Pointe clinical standards of care. Director is also responsible for ensuring compliance with MDHHS and SWMBH clinical reporting requirements.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Assures clinical quality standards are met by internal and external service providers.
  • Coordinates with teams to help identify future organizational goals.
  • Provides Evidence Based Program audits for internal and external service providers.
  • Provides training and education to teams regarding clinical quality standards.
  • Analyzes clinical data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in customer care.
  • Reviews and monitors trends in clinical performance to highlight risk and propose strategy.
  • Utilizes systematic approaches towards ongoing monitoring, analysis, and solution strategy finding.
  • Tracks any corrective action plans to ensure implementation that are requested or required by a Clinical Service program.
  • Maintains confidentiality within MDHHS, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in behavioral health field required.
  • Licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Familiarity with Evidence Based Practice in the field of Behavioral Health
  • Experience in continuous improvement and clinical quality improvement auditing
  • Understanding of Michigan Medicaid, CCBHC, and Michigan CMH systems.

Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of computer technology, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong professional skills including effective communication, written and verbal, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution.

Trauma Informed System of Care:

A trauma-informed approach to service delivery emphasizes physical and emotional safety, choice, empowerment, and trustworthiness for customers. The impact of trauma is broad and touches many life domains. Participation is mandatory for activities required for Summit Pointe to become a “Trauma Informed System of Care.”

Physical Requirements:

  • Professional office environment that generates noise from computer equipment/peripherals.
  • Possible exposure to health risks (violence and infectious diseases).
  • Sometimes lifts, carries, or moves objects up to 25 lbs.
  • May be required to work variable hours/shifts.
  • Occasional driving and travel may be necessary.
