Cosmetology Educator

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and adult education, with the ability to teach various beauty and wellness techniques. This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, and ensuring students gain practical skills in areas such as hair styling, esthetic treatments, and body care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach a variety of subjects includingfacial techniques, anatomy, lifes skills, hair color/cutting body waxing, facials, makeup application, and more.
• Provide hands-on training in techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and dermabrasion.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cosmetology and aesthetic treatments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve educational programs and share best practices.
• Expected Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm

Experience

• Proven experience in teaching or adult education is preferred.
• Active Cosmetology License for at least 5 years
• Active WV Instructor's License with WVBBC preferred
• Strong knowledge of Estheticspractices including skin care, massage techniques, eyelash extensions, and esthetic laser treatment.
• Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management techniques.
• Background in anatomy knowledge is a plus to support the teaching of aesthetic treatments.
• Experience in providing training for various beauty services such as hair threading, facials, barbering, and makeup application is highly desirable. Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
