Position Summary

Our Pain Management Clinic is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to individuals experiencing pain, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that improve patients' quality of life.
Essential Job Functions
Essential Qualifications:
Physical Requirements: This position is primarily an action position requiring walking, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting and lifting up to 75 pounds. At times must lift up to 100 pounds. Potential for long periods of sitting or standing. Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to interface with the computer and other facility operating systems. Must have auditory acuity to effectively interact with patients and public.
Work Schedule: Schedule is varied based on the needs of the Department.

Essential Job Functions
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, evidence-based practices, and clinical guidelines.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies within scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations.
- Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge of advances in nursing practice, pharmacology, and healthcare technology through ongoing education and training.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas, or eligibility for licensure.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program and board certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
- Experience in autonomous patient care with a focus on bone health and fracture prevention.
- Strong commitment to patient advocacy, quality healthcare, and effective communication.
- Previous medical office experience
- Clinical computer application experience and/ or training
