The Material Handler is responsible for pulling, packaging, and shipping both parts and equipment as well as receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, as well as clerical process flow to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Flexibility to work a 4 / 10 schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist shipping and receiving with loading and unloading materials from trucks and stage incoming materials for inspection.
• Check in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, quality inspection and distributing to appropriate personnel for processing.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and / or shipped.
• Fill orders and distribute parts and supplies to proper areas in an effective and efficient manner; Stage materials for assemble and sub-assembly.
• Prepare parcels for safe and efficient mailing.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
• Exporting knowledge and experience.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined locations.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and visitor traffic.
• Follow standard operational procedures consistent with normal warehousing practices.
• Perform computer functions as necessary in the shipping and receiving departments.
• Responsible for day to day general housekeeping; includes hands on cleaning and maintenance.
• May be assigned other duties and perform facilities maintenance as needed.
