Job Summary:
The Selector is responsible for hand picking products and transporting items using industrial equipment to specified locations for shipment.
The job will include, but not be limited to:
- Accurately, consistently, and safely follow directions when receiving/shipping stock, stock rotation, and loading/unloading of trucks
- Accurately pick, pack, palletize, wrap, and tag orders
- Repack product into special packages for special promotional programs
- Observe safe product handling techniques
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as directed by Warehouse Supervisor
- Assist with conducting physical inventory and cycle counting
- Return undelivered products to their proper inventory locations
- Various other duties, as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to operate industrial equipment (forklift & pallet jack, cherry pickers)
- Good verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently with little supervision in a team environment
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Work to be performed in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from -22 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Regular lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders, usage of pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and forklifts
