DISHWASHER

Department: Food & Beverage Cottonwood Bar and Grill

Reports to: Executive Chef, Food Service Managers & Kitchen Supervisors

FLSA Status: Non Exempt/Hourly/Part-time or Full-time (29 – 40 hours per week)

Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

• Maintain cleanliness of all service-ware, kitchen equipment, utensils and facility as directed by F&B Management in a timely manner while practicing safe food handling practices and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.
• General responsibilities include:
  • Thoroughly clean all plates, glasses, utensils and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain the proper temperature, chemical level and water conditions for the dishwasher to operate effectively.
  • Advising kitchen supervisor of any problems with equipment or shortage of chemicals or equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area and dish storage area.
  • Cleaning and sanitize all equipment, utensils and work area throughout the shift and clean and sanitize at the end of your shift.
  • Assist prep cooks if necessary.
  • Assist in the putting away of deliveries.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment and utensils in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Follow all food and chemical handling safety rules.
  • Wear appropriate and specified food handlers attire.
    • Other duties assigned - Completes/performs other tasks as requested by the employee’s manager. The General Manager may also request employees to perform duties not specifically included in the employee’s job description.

  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
