What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set Up Staff position at Sun Valley Resort?
The Banquet Setup Staff is responsible for manually setting up and breaking down all of the resort function space where meetings and other events take place. This position will also set up the meeting or event space to specific client/guest requirements based on the BEO, replenishing meeting rooms as needed and handling last minute client/guest requests. This role will communicate with Managers and Supervisors to report any room deficiencies and ensure client/guest needs are met and expectations exceeded, while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence, resulting in the overall success of banquet events. Banquet Setup Staff Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The tasks that are essential to perform the functions of this position are as followed, but not limited to.
- Maintain a professional appearance, including mannerisms.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of associated work areas and equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Set banquet rooms and halls as per instructions of the setup manager/banquet director
- Set up and breakdown of banquet rooms according to the Banquet Event Order details and diagram
- Handles equipment with care, maintains a clean storage area, and ensures all equipment is in good repair
- Clean premises along with stripping tablecloths and napkins
- Must be able to meet public in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Ability to stand throughout duration of shift.
- Ability to interact well with others in a team environment
- Assemble and breakdown of banquet tables and chairs as per floor plans.
- Maintain cleanliness of all event and storage rooms, back of house with daily cleaning.
- Keeps equipment and store room in excellent order.
- Maintain sense of urgency when on the floor.
- Follow Health and Safety practices at all times.
- Other duties as assigned or as required, ensuring our excellent service and commitment to 100% guest satisfaction.

Banquet Setup Staff Schedule Requirements:
The schedule will vary depending on business level, but will include working long days, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
