What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Supervisor position at Sun Valley Resort?
The Laundry Supervisor both supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, marking, washing, and ironing clothes or linen. They will also be responsible for training, managing, and achieving improvements in the productivity of employees in the laundry department.
Laundry Supervisor General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enforced laundry rules, sanitation regulations, and safety procedures.
- Supervised and work with crew and daily operations
- Trained employees on all laundry procedures, including safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to engineering department & manager/director.
- Support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of employees and be able to cross train between laundry and resort cleaners.
Laundry Supervisor Qualifications:
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required walk, use hands, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Must be able to move objects up to approximately 35 pounds about the workplace safely.
- Bilingual is a plus.
