Brief Description
The Technical Training & Development Lead will report to the Manager of Training & Development. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of field service professionals in the Western Region - training content and delivery of internal technical training initiatives. You will plan, develop and execute internal technical training that supports business objectives, develops NETA technicians, and builds a pipeline of talent within Technical Field Services. Additionally, this role will facilitate electrical safety training and technical training for customers.

Additionally, this role will facilitate electrical safety training and technical training for customers.
General Technical Training
- Utilizing and adapting the current field service internal training framework and content, proactively work with leaders to ensure their employees are participating in the appropriate internal training, developing as required, and are competent.
- Ensure internal training initiatives align with the overall people and training strategies, career pathing, and the competency frameworks and NETA requirements.
- Deliver internal technical training and train the trainers focused on developing competent and safe workers.
- Work with the training team to develop new content and new programs as needed.
- Support the development of Technicians through the NETA levels by working with leaders and employees to plan NETA exam dates, prepare employees, support study requirements and assist employees in becoming NETA certified through the levels.
- With the support of the Administrator, coordinate the logistics of internal training and track internal training and competencies in our HRIS and maintain reports required for business needs.
- Work as a technical support resource to the Technical Field Services team.
- Offer virtual and on-site training, support and mentorship to field service team members.
- Complete site visits to measure training progress and practical application of training.
- Utilizing the current internal electrical safety training content, deliver safety training courses to clients.
- Upon client request, develop and deliver technical training to clients.
- Be a role model and informal mentor for all Electrical Technicians to support internal development
- Participate in the HSE committee and working group, and engage in safety and technical related updates to current procedures and practices.
- Travel to other offices as required to facilitate training
- Facilitate external training for customers; specifically electrical safety training and other requests from clients
- 7 years in Technical Field Services as an Electrical Technician
- NETA IV certified
- Ability to travel approx. 40% of the time
- Positive attitude, team player and exceptional role model for new and existing employees
- Facilitation and mentorship experience
- Proven experience mentoring junior employees
- Strong writing skills and presentation skills
- Preferably looking to continue their career path into Technical Training and Development
