Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated Commercial Loan Documentation Preparation Specialist in Plano, TX! The Commercial Loan Documentation Preparation Specialist position is responsible for the preparation of all loan documents for commercial loans including letters of credit and SBA loans. This position remote prints or sends documents to the branches.
- Draft and prepare legal documents for use in loan closings via Company software platforms.
- Work with title companies to ensure primary lien for loan is secured by real estate, including but not limited to, review of title commitments, title policies and endorsements.
- Obtain and review all pertinent information required to document loans for delivery to lender prior to the requested time.
- Reviews loan approval documentation and generate a comprehensive due diligence needs list according to credit policy and SBA requirements.
- Review loan risks and competing security interests by examining UCC records.
- Maintain high level of accuracy and working knowledge of user needs.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of current loan policies.
- Maintain the daily Prep Doc Prep Pipeline Report.
- Follow-up on a regular basis for Pre Doc-Prep documentation to ensure timely closing.
- Maintain knowledge and participate in the promotion of Company’s products and services.
- Provide relief as needed to position within the Loan Operations Area.
- Maintain high level of accuracy.
- Complete special projects as required.
Education/Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Paralegal Studies or an equivalent of 4 years of professional experience specializing in SBA or commercial lending operations.
- A combination of experience in two or more of these areas is highly desired – legal, loan closing, loan administration, loan documentation, loan review, audit or compliance.
- Technical training in computer systems, banking applications and lending preferred.
- Must possess exceptional detail and organizational skills.
- Must possess time management skills.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
