Foreman/ Crew Lead

Reporting Relationship
The Landscape Leader reports to the General Manager and Owner.
Position Duties
- Work to accurately interpret and follow detailed instructions from designers and homeowners.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to landscape customers.
- Train Landscape Crew Members on best practices of landscape installation to meet Sunnyside Gardens standards.
- Lead by demonstrating dependability, safe work practices, and a strong work ethic.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform inventory and clean/service tools and equipment as needed.
Experience Required
- Three (3) years of prior landscaping required.
- Two(2) years of prior leadership or foreman experience.
- Experience operating bobcats, sod cutters, or other relevant heavy machinery is a plus.
- Prior experience installing hardscapes and water features preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid Drivers License required with a good driving record.
Skills Required
- Must display good communication, organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate artistic attention to detail in all phases of landscaping.
- Must be friendly, possess a team mentality, and the ability to build rapport.
- Must have the ability to perform physical labor, accept and adapt to change, be able to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime. Additional hours may be needed in peak seasons.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to utilize required safety equipment when needed.

Position Type and Classification
This is a full-time, non-exempt role and is eligible for overtime in accordance with the FLSA.
Physical and Mental Demands
Requires constant (67-100%) standing, walking and lifting of plants and nursery products of up to 75 lbs. Requires frequent (34-66%) reaching, kneeling, and climbing while assisting customers. Requires the ability to push and pull wheeled carts with nursery products. This position requires the ability to operate basic tools along with excellent manual dexterity and visual skills. This position requires excellent manual dexterity and visual skills. Must be able to work in and around high UV light, wet or humid conditions, fumes, heat, cold, chemicals, and high levels of noise. Requires the ability to communicate clearly.
Qualifications
Applicant must have:
Landscape leadership experience, 3 or more years.
