Sunrise Engineering is currently initiating a search for a full-time Civil Engineer to support our growing organization. This position is based in out Vernal, Utah office.

Your Impact
A Civil Engineer provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization, ensuring workforce management plans are developed in a timely, organized manner.
- Design and supervise construction projects. These projects may range from water/wastewater, land development, and transportation based on the need of the Service Center.
- Estimate costs, personnel, and material needs for projects.
- Conduct studies and prepare written reports for clients.
- Take the lead on projects and may supervise other engineers, E.I.T.s, drafters, and field personnel.
- May work individually or participate as part of a team on large scales.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Assist in business development efforts.
- Assist in preparing statements of qualifications and proposals for potential clients.
- The Vernal office specializes in Water, Sewer, Recreation and Transportation projects in Northeastern Utah, Southern Wyoming and Northwestern Colorado.
- Being in a small town and covering a large geographic area with many small towns, the work is rewarding and demanding at times with a lot of variety and a chance to work with a lot of good people.

Who You Are:
Required Qualifications
- Successful candidates should have a four-year civil engineering degree, P.E. license, CAD experience, and good verbal and written communication skills, 5 to 15 years of experience working on water/wastewater, roadway, and draining projects.
- Preferred candidates will have experience managing municipal projects and managing teams.
