Who You Are: We are seeking customer-focused and knowledgeable Retail Team Members to join our team. A successful new team member should possess strong customer service and communication skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset. Additionally, maintaining a positive attitude and ethical responsibility are key attributes for success in this role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of liquor products and industry regulations is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Bending, stooping, and reaching to stock shelves and assist customers.
Position Overview: As a Retail Team Member, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience by providing excellent customer service, assisting with product selection, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. A typical day will consist of:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and product selection.
- Provide product recommendations and information on promotions or discounts.
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of liquor products, including types, brands, and characteristics.
- Keep up-to-date with new arrivals, trends, and industry developments.
Sales and Transactions:
- Ring up customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, following all cash-handling procedures.
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchases.
Stocking and Merchandising:
- Restock shelves and displays to ensure products are readily available to customers.
- Monitor product inventory levels and inform management of low-stock items.
- Ensure merchandise is properly priced and labeled.
Store Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Perform regular checks for safety hazards and report any issues to management.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
- Verify the age of customers purchasing alcohol in accordance with legal requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
