Full job description
Working under the direction and supervision of the Charge and Staff Nurses, the Certified Nurse's Aides, and the Activity Director, a Unit Aide will assist the residents in ensuring safety, comfort, and activities. The Unit Aide does not provide personal care but follows the nurse's instructions to keep the residents safe and entertained. A Unit Aide observes and reports changes in the resident's physical, mental and social status to nurses to ensure the well-being of the resident along with keeping the resident busy with activities. We are looking for a detail-oriented, patient-focused individual with excellent bedside manner.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to Charge Nurse or his / her designee.
- Interrelationships : works effectively and maintains cooperative working relationships with members of the healthcare team, nursing staff, residents and family.
- Assists residents to activities
- Passes Ice water
- Answers call lights
- Other duties as assigned.
