Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care instructions, and preventive dental care - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (such as Eaglesoft or Epic) - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar - Assist with front office tasks, such as answering phone calls, verifying insurance coverage, and processing payments Experience: - Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required - Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations - Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, periodontal, and oral surgery - Familiarity with dental imaging systems and ability to take accurate dental x-rays - Experience with electronic medical documentation systems (such as Eaglesoft or Epic) is a plus - Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures is beneficial but not required If you are a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this position.
