What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Caregiver/Teacher- Child Care and Early Childhood Education/Day Care position at Sunshine Starts?
About us: Sunshine Starts is a premier day care located in the heart of Yorktown Heights- right in the Triangle Shopping Center. We are a NYS licensed day care that provides care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. We also provide before and after school care for our community.

As an Infant Teacher you will:

Be responsible for the well being of children ages 6 weeks to 18 Months

Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development

Supervise children while keeping them safe at all times

Engage with parents to discuss their child(ren)

Engage in a responsive caregiving classroom environment

Record each child's daily activities

Create and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children
Required Qualifications/Criteria

CDA, Bachelor's in related field, or have a plan of study

Minimum of one year of experience working with infants in a childcare setting

Friendly, nurturing, engaging and professional demeanor

Strong work ethic

Be punctual

Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children alone in a classroom

Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children as required

Have dependable transportation
