The Scheduler is responsible for partnering with the operational team in the design of the scheduling process. Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm appointments with a high level of customer service orientation.
- Conduct proactive reviews of clinic schedules to identify and rectify any discrepancies or potential issues, ensuring smooth scheduling operations.
- Actively collaborate in the development and implementation of trial-specific scheduling protocols during study start-up phases.
- Perform various general office duties, including handling telephone calls, scheduling clinic appointments, scanning documents, and maintaining well-organized patient correspondence.
- Coordinate the scheduling of therapy sessions for patients, ensuring seamless alignment with the availability of all clinical staff involved in each visit.
- Ensure strict adherence to trial-specific scheduling templates.
- Collect and meticulously update patients information within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist patients in understanding insurance and billing aspects related to their therapy sessions, providing clear and helpful guidance.
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital in a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with great attention to detail.
- Analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and re-prioritize projects, and adhere to deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as walking, standing.
