Job Summary:
The Behavioral Emergency Response Team Nurse will support the care of patients who have a risk for escalated behavior. They will function as an expert resource and work collaboratively with the psychiatric, medical and other multidisciplinary teams. They will support patient care through direct consultation, coaching/mentoring, learning needs assessment, formal and informal education, and providing guidance to the Upstate Staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed RN (or eligible), Bachelor's degree in Nursing, plus a minimum of three (3) years of formal behavioral health-related experience (behavioral intervention/psychiatric experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing, Certification in crisis intervention or de-escalation training. Psychiatric Certification. Experience with evidence-based psychotherapy modality. Geriatric experience a plus.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday, Day/Evenings/Weekends based on operational needs
