What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Technologist 3, Flow Cytometry position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary:
NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and 2 years clinical lab experience required. Excellent computer skills required. *Candidates with no clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Candidates with a BS degree in Natural Sciences may be considered for a commensurate title and salary; these applicants must apply for a restricted license and complete a 1 year training program in Flow Cytometry. Ability to distinguish colors required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Lymphocyte subset analysis, stem cell analysis and leukemia/lymphoma analysis in flow cytometry laboratory. Maintenance and quality control. Perform new test development. Teach Medical Technology students, CP residents and fellows.
Preferred Qualifications:
Flow Cytometry experience preferred
Work Days:
M-F 8:00-4:30 rotating weekend and holidays plus on-call responsibilities
