Job Summary:
Performs MRI exams at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment for a consistent outcome of established imaging protocols. Reviews MRI screening form and relevant previous imaging thoroughly to confirm safe entrance into zone IV of the MRI suite. Responsible for archiving and documenting all imaging and data in PACS and RIS. Works closely with the hospitals Emergency Department and inpatient floors staff. Identifies each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Willingly performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT MR. Minimum of one-year progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification required. Registration certification for Contrast Injection required (must obtain within 3 months of appointment). CPR certification required at the time of appointment
Preferred Qualifications: Work Days:Monday - Friday 23:00 - 7:30. Rotating call coverage and weekends.
