What are the responsibilities and job description for the Release of Information Coordinator position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary:
The ROI Coordinator will oversee the ROI staff to ensure requests are processed in an accurate and timely manner; handle customer complaints; work with Fiscal Services to assure timely release of information for billing; train health information staff in ROI procedures and EPIC; manage employee time usage to avoid backlogs; provide coverage as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in HIM with five years experience in HIM, with at least two years experience in an administrative/supervisory capacity required.
Preferred Qualifications:
RHIT or RHIA eligible. Bachelor's Degree in HIM with three years experience in an administrative/supervisory capacity preferred
Work Days:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
