Super-Sod, the leading sod provider in the southeast, is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Rep to assist our Columbia retail team.
The Inside Sales position develops, maintains and interacts face-to-face with new and existing customers within the landscaping markets to increase Company sales and overall customer satisfaction. This person develops sales strategies designed to demonstrate the features and benefits of Super-Sod products to achieve increased sales and profitability for our retail locations.
Essential Functions

1. Identifies revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
2. Generates additional sales within the company’s established trading partners by identifying and communicating the needs of individual buyers.
3. Performs needs analysis at all prospect levels both in-person and over the phone.
4. Identifies appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
5. Identifies and closes additional purchases of products and services by customers' communities.
6. Works closely with Sales Managers, Store Management, Yard Workers and Administrative staff.
7. Responds to requests from customers and assist with operational demonstration and product handling.
8. Engages in technical discussions with potential customers through face-to-face demonstrations and presentations.
9. Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the lawn and turf industry, as well as new products within the company.
10. Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.

Required Education and Experience
- High school degree.
- Face-to-face / counter sales experience
- Exceptional customer service
Preferred Education and Experience
- Additional education in turf management, horticulture, or similar field of study
- Experience with turfgrass sod and seed in a retail setting
- Proficient in CRM software
- Bilingual is a big plus
