**Job Title: **Bilingual Lamb Harvest Floor Manager

Job Type: Full-time, on site

Shifts Available: First shift

**FLSA Status: **Salary, Exempt

Pay Rate: $73,000 - $75,000 per year DOE

**Summary: **Directs and coordinates activities of the harvest department in a meat processing facility, while improving the efficiency of manpower, yields, materials and machines by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides leadership to employees through effective communication, coaching, training and development.

  • Acts as a member of the management team and performs other duties as directed by position or required by Operations Manager and the General Manager.

  • Manages the scheduling of production and sets work schedules, departmental goals and employee and production expectations.

  • Supervisory responsibility includes management of employee performance, hiring, discipline, development, recourse planning and training.

  • Develops, monitors and implements department budgets and production forecasts.

  • Develops, analyzes, and presents reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity and safety.

  • Facilitates workflow management, workforce scheduling, and employee placement to ensure the facility and company goals are successfully met or exceeded.

  • Provides technical expertise to resolve production issues and creates and ensures corrective actions are implemented.

  • Manages departmental procurement of supplies and equipment.

  • Utilizes problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics.

  • Plans and monitors throughput and efficiencies for the department. Monitors and takes appropriate timely improvement action to meet production quality and quantity.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policy.

  • Manages compliance with all regulatory bodies including USDA, FDA, EPA, OSHA, etc.

Language Ability:

Must be Bilingual. Ability to effectively read, speak and communicate in English and Spanish. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses:

Must be HACCP Certified.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places and in areas with fumes or airborne particles; variable temperature conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
