Quality Engineer

Position Summary:

The team member is expected to take a wider view of their job and its impact on the organization. These Team members are responsible for the Quality overall goals, organization, procedures, outcomes, attitude, education, expectations and work habits. Each team member shall strive to achieve all the levels within Job Level Matrix, which includes but are not limited to operate of cleaning equipment, stress relief ovens, and support equipment to clean, stress relief, and chamfer parts and components according to specifications and router instructions:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain organized work area(s) in compliance with basic 6S principals.
Evaluate non-conforming material/product for disposition and corrective actions. Assumes all responsibilities as the Non-conforming (NC) material process owner.
Reviews and completes evaluation and disposition of customer returns.
Responsible for the Corrective Action system. Answers all internal and customer corrective actions and manages our supplier corrective actions. Works with all departments to ensure communication of corrective/preventive action.
Customer and Supplier liaison and main point of contact for quality concerns
Maintain various electronic quality logs and records. (NC Trends, CAB Log, COS Metrics)
Interfaces with Account Managers, Production Control, Customer Quality Representatives, Suppliers and Supply Chain Management regularly.
Assess the need for facilitating Corrective Action Board meetings.
Monitor and report the monthly Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) to the Quality Manager.
Properly dispose of scrap material and update the STR scrap log.
Perform monthly life limited/sensitive material audits and record results on applicable audit forms.
Performs Purchase Order Reviews
Creates rework planning as required for non-conformance product.
Manages customer return material through its completion.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality is desired
5 years' experience minimum in quality is desired
Aerospace Industry experience is required
CNC Machine related experience is desired
Machine Shop related Experience is desired
