What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class D Local Driver position at Superior Waste and Recycling?
Position Summary:
Superior Waste is seeking a motivated, dedicated full-time employee for our Local Class D Driver position. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers while complying with all local state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies.
Your Role:
- Become cross-trained on all Class D vehicles operated by Superior Waste and fill in as needed.
- Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Notifies Dispatch of any incidents, accidents injuries, or property damage as well as service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or potential safety hazards.
- Performs all duties scheduled by Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Your Skills:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Gritty, outgoing, and eager to learn.
- The environment is fast-paced, and the person in this role must be proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and an independent critical thinker.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
