Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in our dynamic ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care, ICU, OR or PACU with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. This role is essential to our ASC's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our patients.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination.
- Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
- Utilize medical imaging equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of airway management techniques.
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
PACU RN:
As a teammate of Surgery Center, of Fort Wayne, the Preoperative and Post-operative Nurse demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The RN encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary customer service at SCFW. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the RN.
Position Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Indiana Nursing License
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS
- Knowledge of preoperative and post-operative care.
- Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to patient safety
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in a dynamic learning environment
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
