Landscape Architect/Designer

We are seeking a skilled landscape architect/designer to join our team at Surry Gardens. The top candidates will have experience in creating beautiful outdoor spaces and will be able to work collaboratively with our clients and landscape team.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have a knowledge of Maine plants
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong organizational and time management skills
• Have an aptitude for Microsoft Excel
• Be flexible and able to work with people from all levels of the organization
• Have an undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture OR 10 years of professional experience
• Be competent in reading and interpreting construction drawings, sketches, shop drawings, specifications and product data

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to determine needs and budget
• Design projects and prepare estimates, including site visits and site surveys
• Complete CAD drafting of technical drawings and construction documents following AutoCad / Sketchup / Photoshop and other program standards and drafting protocols
• Work with crew foreman to ensure project is completed to customer's satisfaction
• Complete walkthroughs and review project with customer
• Maintain regular communication with customers
• Use of administrative systems for accurate record keeping
• Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports as requested and complete job billing as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Driver's License (Required)
