Role Overview:
We are seeking a Freelance Video Producer to help create a short-form video series highlighting our various projects. This role involves shooting, editing, and delivering finished videos, working closely with our director/founder to execute a clear creative vision.
You’ll also assist with casting musicians, artists, and participants, coordinating shoots, and shaping visual storytelling that reflects the energy and ethos of Surya Sound Temple.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute short video shoots for individual projects
- Capture high-quality video and audio on-site
- Edit and deliver polished short-form videos (social web-ready)
- Assist with casting and coordinating on-camera talent
- Collaborate closely with the director and take creative direction
- Maintain consistent visual quality across a multi-project series
Requirements:
- Must be available on-site in Bushwick
- Strong experience in videography and editing
- Own professional or prosumer camera audio gear
- Proficiency with editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.)
- Strong sense of composition, pacing, and storytelling
- Comfortable working in creative, music-focused environments
Important Note on Ownership:
All video, audio, and visual materials created as part of this role will be work-for-hire and become the exclusive property of Surya Sound Temple. This includes raw footage, edits, and final exports. (Credit may be given where appropriate.)
