Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Learning & Development professional with experience in executing global strategy while supporting local developmental needs. This role reports into the Global Head of Learning and Development (based in the United States) with close ties to the local Human Resources team. In this role, you will partner with a broad spectrum of colleagues including HR business partners, global team members, senior leaders, and business and technical experts to help build and deliver programs that will help grow our leaders and improve performance.
Within SIG, the Learning and Development team’s purpose is to help SIG grow and retain talent, and enhance engagement and performance, by providing learning and development solutions that enable and develop employees and managers globally.
In this role you will:
- Consult and collaborate with Human Resources and business partners on L&D needs with the Sydney office. This includes excellent listening and questioning skills.
- Partner closely with global L&D team to identify global solutions that can be used to support local needs.
- Facilitate instructor-led workshops and learning events on various topics, such as management skills, professional skills, team building, mentoring, graduate and intern programming, and cultural orientation.
- Design, develop, and implement training programs that align with business goals. Tailoring content to specific client needs.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify learning and development needs and recommend solutions.
- Support talent management processes and education related to talent processes (e.g., mid-year and year-end discussions, mandatory training, etc.).
- Develop and deliver instructional materials, such as e-learning modules and job aids.
- Develop communications plan and materials to support learning and development initiatives.
- Provide targeted coaching against commonly used assessment tools.
- Administer education policy, programming (including reporting and tracking) and learning technology requests.
- Project manage, coordinate, and support logistics, rollout of programming, and day-to-day program management.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Training / Learning and Development role, with a minimum of 2 years delivering programs.
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- Proven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to build scalable, high impact, mission driven training programs.
- Self-driven and motivated individual comfortable to take initiative and execute high quality work product.
- Actively seeks feedback from team and stakeholders; adjusts approach, content, delivery plan, etc. based on feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and balance needs of the local office with the direction of the Global L&D function.
