What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Sutherlands Lumber?

Delivery drivers are expected to maintain a positive representation of Sutherlands both on the road and off. The main task of the delivery driver is to provide a timely delivery of customers orders and provide outstanding customer service experience consistent with company values. Their job will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities.

· Inspect the vehicle before starting that day’s deliveries to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
· Maintain ongoing communication with both the customer and the service desk on the status of the deliveries.
· Load products onto/into the vehicles according to company specifications.
· Unload orders according to customer specifications while following company guidelines.
· Assist with other task in the yard/store as needed.
· Adhere to all store policies and safety standards.
· Success will be measured by consistent on-time deliveries to customers with the correct product being delivered.
· Become a more versatile employee by learning more about products stocked in the store with the goal of being able to answer product and project related questions.
NO CDL REQUIRED but must have a clean driving record.
