Our electrical engineers have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with high-profile clients who are passionate about their facilities and work in a collaborative process to find the right solutions for their unique needs.
Swanson Rink, our engineers are supported by specific Project Management and BIM staff allowing our engineers for focus specifically on developing engineering solutions for our clients.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Designs electrical systems for data centers, aviation and commercial/industrial facilities including:
- Power design associated with UPS and generator support systems, mechanical systems and other equipment.
- Conduit routing, layout and circuiting of receptacles, and completion of panel schedules.
- Short circuit and voltage drop calculations.
- Fuse and circuit breaker coordination studies.
- Prepare studies on various electrical systems, identify options and potential solutions. Provide related cost comparisons.
- Development of specifications for the lighting and power systems.
- Review of contractor’s shop drawings and submittals.
- Construction observations.
2. Demonstrates expert application of local and national building codes and all applicable safety codes and industry standards and International Building Codes.
3. Technical supervision of assigned project engineers, mechanical designers, mechanical engineers and CAD staff.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree Architectural Engineering. Successful performance at this career level typically requires 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated supervisory/leaderships skills and/or minimum of one year supervisory experience or combination of skills and experience necessary to lead a team of Engineers.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Licenses
- Registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Proficiency in conducting engineering projects through all phases of development.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; to express ideas; to share information; and to prepare clear, well-organized correspondence, reports and similar documents.
- Proven ability to make presentations to clients.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary will be based on several factors including: experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. The pay range and benefits offered for this position is expected to be:
- $80,000- $105,000
- Health care benefits, company paid holidays, Paid Time Off, 401(k)
