Job Title: Pack Team Specialist FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for helping in the packaging area. This is a key role in the process and the position will be focused on the following areas; Cleaning, wrapping, cutting cheese, prepping orders, quality and safety. This position is a hands-on position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• 30% Cleaning throughout the plant.

- Clean tools, parts, floors, and walls
- Clean cheese wheels

• 70% Packaging product

- Review the production schedule as needed
- Cutting wheels
-Wrapping
- Filling orders

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completing additional cleaning assignments
• *Carry out all reasonable requests by management to assist in any area of the plant as needed.
• *Help with inventory when needed such as production supplies, chemicals, and other supplies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Education:

• *High School degree required

Certifications:

• HACCP a plus.
• ServSafe Certified a plus.

Computer Skills:

• *Basic computer skills a plus

Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for cheese making equipment.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and ratios.

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required Sit, walk, talk and hear
• Use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• Be standing on feet majority of the workday in addition to walking back and forth.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in a cool environment as well as a warm environment.
• Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Standing most of the work day is required.
• Work requires movement in and out of store rooms, and coolers
• *Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to heating and refrigeration equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
