Gun Lake Investments (GLI), the Economic Development Corporation of the Gun Lake Tribe, is thrilled to announce the Grand Opening of a new food concept in Shelbyville, MI. Sweetgrass Moon Cafe exists to offer nourishing food and meaningful experiences that reflect and celebrate the cultural values of the Gun Lake Tribe. Through authentic cuisine, shared stories, and intentional partnerships, we honor our traditions, educate our community, and create space for connection.

Who You Are:

You love the smell of fresh-baked goods and the energy of a great cup of coffee? We're looking for friendly, dependable team members to join our bakery and coffee shop crew! If you enjoy creating positive guest experiences and working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect fit.

What You'll Do:

· Greet guests with a smile and provide outstanding customer service

· Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and teas to order

· Assist with baking, prepping, and packaging pastries, breads, and other treats

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, bakery, and dining areas

· Restock ingredients, supplies, and display cases throughout the shift

· Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

· Operate POS system and handle cash/credit transactions

· Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking for in a Candidate:

Essential Pre-requisites:

· Willingness to follow directions and work as part of a team.

· Strong communication, math, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting.

· Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

· Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

Preferred Pre-requisites:

· High School Diploma preferred.

· Previous food service experience is a plus.
