Job Overview:
The Shipping Assistant at Sweetgrass Pharmacy and Compounding primarily prepares and packs medications for shipments across South Carolina, Georgia and other states. The volume of shipments we produce is approximately 3000 shipments per month and growing. The position is expected to work Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and pack medications for shipments. We use USPS and FedEx.
- Restock supplies to prepare for the next day.
- Ring out shipments for deliveries

Answer, manage or redirect incoming phone calls as much as possible.
- Assist customers with over-the-counter medications and other items offered for sale in the front of the pharmacy.
- Serve as backup to the delivery driver when needed and deliver medications to patients and doctor's offices across Mount Pleasant and Charleston.
- Other Duties As Assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in logistics, shipping or operations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic computer skills that includes general knowledge of Microsoft and Google Products
- Organizational and Time Management Skills a Must!
- Pleasant demeanor and ability to handle a variety of customer service issues
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Must be collaborative and able to perform as part of a team
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to learn applicable pharmacy software(s).
- Ability to read, write, and perform simple math.
