Sweetgrass Psychiatry is growing again and we need YOU! We are expanding with new providers, a recently added a primary care division, and a growing transcranial magnetic stimulation practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, organized, professional, and experienced office professional to join our expanding practice. You can make a very meaningful impact on our patients' lives.

We are looking for a team player that is independent, organized, detail oriented, has the ability to multi-task, and demonstrates ethical and professional standards for the care of our patients and practice. We are also looking for someone who is interested in being part of our local work family long term. Computer knowledge and experience is a must. You also must be able to work in person in our Mount Pleasant office for this job.

Job responsibilities/requirements include:

  • Greeting and checking patients in, monitoring patient flow and escorting patients from the lobby to the treatment room
  • Facilitating new patient onboarding
  • Responding to patient phone calls, faxes, emails, and portal messages in conjunction with the physician and documenting actions in patient charts
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse office tasks when needed such as scheduling follow up appointments, entering billing information, assisting with medication and treatment prior authorizations, collecting patient payments, faxing info, sending referrals, onboarding new patients
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and HIPPA regulations
  • Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrating compassion and able to handle stress
  • Optimizing patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization
  • Maintaining knowledge of electronic medical record, phone, fax, email and other computer software as it relates to specific job functions
  • Assisting in managing the patient referral process
  • Potentially assisting physicians when needed with patient monitoring
  • Triaging patient concerns over the phone and sending them to the appropriate person
  • Supporting clinicians whenever needs arise
