REGIONAL AQUATICS SUPERVISOR
Full-Time | Position available in Dayton, OH
I. Class Summary
Responsible for the management of a region of pools under the supervision of a Regional Manager or General Manager. The position ensures the smooth, safe, and reliable operation of all pool systems and personnel.
II. Essential Duties
- Works closely with the Regional Manager to ensure day to day operation of facilities within region.
- Main contact and liaison, along with Regional Manager, for property managers, city officials, and board members at all facilities.
- Trains all subordinates in all facets of job duties and responsibilities to achieve team goals.
- In conjunction with Regional Manager responsible for opening, start-up, and winterizing all facilities as well as providing detailed off-season and capital improvement projects.
- Works with administrative staff to identify, hire, place, and train all personnel for each facility
- Responsible for attending all required board, city, contractor meetings and walkthroughs
- Works closely with the management team to ensure that all SwimSafe standards are being implemented along with the company mission statement.
- Coordinate ordering of all necessary chemicals and supplies for each facility.
- Communicate regularly with the administrative and management team to update about facility, personnel, and operations.
III. Training and Experience
- Bachelor degree and sufficient experience to perform the essential duties listed above. Preference given to aquatic experienced but not required.
IV. Knowledge Of
- Supervisory techniques
- National, State, and local swimming pool health code requirements
- Contract management
V. Skill In
- Demonstrated skill in directing and managing staff efficiently and effectively
- Clear and effective written and oral communication
- Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, and spreadsheets
- Demonstrated skill in use of independent judgment
VI. ADA & Other Requirements
Positions in this class typically require: walking, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force
frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
