What are the responsibilities and job description for the VIDEOGRAPHER position at SWINOMISH CASINO & LODGE?
SUMMARY:
The videographer is responsible for creating video content for Swinomish Casino & Lodge and is supervised by the Digital Content Strategist. The videographer operates video and audio equipment on and off property to create produced videos and livestream videos on our social media platforms and for broadcast video production such as television commercials and online advertisements. This position will attend on and off property happenings to capture the event to use for future advertising.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates content including, but not limited to pictures, produced videos, livestream video, broadcast video production to increase visits from guests to the property.
- Collaborates with the team to improve video quality and content.
- Responsible for all video equipment, loading and transferring.
- Must stay up-to-date on the latest equipment and software, and makes recommendations to management for the purchase of equipment and software.
- Sets up and tears down equipment.
- Familiar with social media platforms, asset specifications, restrictions, and content guidelines.
- Follows the company brand standards.
- Understands social media creative trends.
- Receives creative direction from the digital content strategist pre-production to ensure the task is completed properly.
- Performs video editing using Adobe Creative Cloud software which include use of b-roll footage, static graphics, animation, audio, and text.
- Designs after effects as needed including motion graphics, layout and animation.
- Other duties as assigned to assist the marketing team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College degree in Marketing, digital media, video production preferred.
- One year of experience utilizing video editing skills.
- One year of experience with professional video and audio equipment.
- Ability to operate, configure, set up and fix video, audio, lighting or other production equipment.
- Requires a self-motivated, personable individual.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
- Must be creative and detail oriented.
- Must be skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud. Specifically Final Cut Pro or Premiere and After Effects for video editing.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or other outside groups in a public setting.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit and stand for an extended period of time, up to 8 hours per day. Employee will need to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. Ability to speak and hear. The employee is occasionally asked to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Required to provide a state issued driver’s license and pass a drive test with the safety coordinator to operate company vehicles for off property shoots.
