Area Supervisor - Tacoma: Position Overview

Swoop Scoop® is looking for an Area Supervisor to launching a brand-new service location in the Tacoma region. As Area Supervisor, you’ll help build the new Tacoma branch from the ground up and oversee daily operations. This role includes handling scooping routes while supporting hiring, training, and management of the local teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Launch the new Tacoma location: assist with local setup, systems, vehicles, staffing, and any other operational needs that may arise for a successful launch.

• Manage the locations Operational needs.

• Service a daily dog waste removal route (25-30 Homes Per Day)

• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees

• Train new hires on company procedures and field performance

• Plan and manage daily routes and scheduling logistics

• Monitor team productivity and implement operational improvements

• Maintain vehicle and equipment readiness

• Provide excellent communication and support to customers

• Report regularly to upper management on progress and performanc

• Ensure full compliance with company policies and safety standards

Expected Outcomes

• All scheduled services are completed on time, with zero missed routes

• Tacoma customers report high satisfaction and strong retention

• New hires are quickly onboarded and performing to standard

• Equipment, inventory, and vehicles are consistently maintained

• Tacoma operations and existig operations meet performance, safety, and growth benchmarks

Requirements

• 1 year in a Area supervisory or multi-unit lead role

• Comfortable with physical work and being outdoors year-round

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history

• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle report (MVR)

• Able to walk long distances and lift 30 lbs

• Skilled at giving feedback, resolving problems, and leading by example

• Prior experience in route-based, labor-intensive, or home services work is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience launching a new location or building a team from scratch
• Familiarity with route planning software or workforce management tools
• Proven track record of driving team performance and hitting KPIs
• Experience managing vehicle fleets, tools, and field equipment
• Background in pet services, sanitation, landscaping, or delivery
• Prior customer service or sales experience with direct client interaction
• Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight
