About the Position:
We have created an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Underwriter! The Associate Underwriter supports the Underwriting Team with all job functions to learn, industry, business, and job responsibilities necessary for the future growth as an Underwriter. You will write new and renewal business, approve policy changes, and respond to inbound calls and chats from agents.
*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
- Responsible for reviewing a high volume of new business and renewal inspection reports for risk eligibility across multiple states.
- Issue non-renewals or cancelations and conducts reviews for reinstatements.
- Partner with internal departments to accurately resolve requests from agents to maintain Swyfft’s expected service guidelines.
- Accurately authorize endorsements through Zendesk as needed.
- Answer inbound calls and chat requests from agents as needed.
- Partner with internal team members on underwriting-related projects.

Some Requirements: (What you’ll need to be successful)
- 5 years of experience working in the P&C or commercial insurance space.
Certifications or Licensing:
- Producer license or ability to obtain additional licensing if necessary.
Education:
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required in a related field.
Computer Skills:
- We’re a MS Office environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack)
- Proficient in Zendesk, Paper Trail, and ODEN.
Other:
- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
