Our Challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled Middleware Testing Engineer with extensive experience in middleware environments and a strong focus on log validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing middleware components, analyzing logs, and ensuring seamless integration and performance across systems.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Newark, DE is $90k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test cases for middleware solutions, including API, database, and UI testing.
• Perform extensive log validation using tools like SuperPutty, Unix, or other log analysis tools to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Validate middleware configurations, performance, and security measures.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to diagnose errors and implement solutions.
• Automate log validation processes to improve efficiency.
• Document testing procedures, results, and defects clearly.
• Monitor system logs to identify anomalies and potential issues proactively.
• Participate in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in middleware testing, including middleware platforms like WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, etc.
• Strong expertise in log analysis and validation.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation using Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with API testing and validation.
• Knowledge of database testing and validation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
