This freelance position is responsible for working in partnership with the larger Clinical Creative Team to lead and manage projects primarily focused on developing conceptual ideas for clinical trial programs with a Freelance Associate Creative Director/Copy partner. Most importantly, he/she is responsible for setting the creative vision and maintaining the creative standards on-going. This includes being aware of the nature of clinical communications and following guidelines set forth by clinical protocols in a global context.
Primary job responsibilities will be to develop and present conceptual ideas to support patient engagement in clinical trials through a range of healthcare professional-facing and patient-facing tactics (including digital tactics) and having the vision to meet trial sponsor team objectives. He/she will have superior communication skills focusing on setting and maintaining high standards commensurate with company creative expectations.

Responsibilities
- Owns clinical trial projects at the Associate Creative Director level
- You will be the day-to-day creative lead on specific clinical projects with a focus on art direction and visual design
- Present and defend the best work selling ideas internally and to clinical trial sponsors
- Form a team with a Freelance Associate Creative Director/Copy partner for effective creative development
- Manage to sponsor contract and project agreements
- Monitor and manage team activity to ensure timely deliverables
- Create partnership approach with peers from other departments (e.g. Editorial, Project Management, Patient Engagement colleagues)
- Facilitate communication between team members and sponsors to maintain strong relationships and effective creative management
- Provide creative direction
- Act as a hands-on art director (as appropriate) when needed
