Responsibilities

With minimum supervision, the Territory Business Manager is responsible for representing our clients products within a defined sales territory. Applies a range of consultative selling skills and in‐depth clinical and product knowledge to drive business results and build support for our clients portfolio of products. Identify and partner with stakeholders who impact healthcare decision making at the local level, including healthcare providers, physician networks, hospitals, IDNs, and large employer group; be able to apply an in-depth understanding of the industry's current healthcare and patient practices and emerging trends to develop the territory's unique business opportunities. You will:

  • Responsible for developing and executing a sales plan that drives the sale of LifeScan products within a defined sales territory.
  • Applies a range of consultative selling skills and in‐depth clinical and product knowledge to drive business results and build support for the LifeScan portfolio of products.
  • Identifies and partners with stakeholders who impact healthcare decision making at the local level, including healthcare providers, physician networks, hospitals, IDNs, and large employer groups.
  • Implements brand marketing strategies and tactics at the local level, and execute managed care pull‐through and push‐through strategies.
  • Identify new leads and develop up-sell and expansion sales opportunities that enhance LifeScan's key performance indicators
  • Work closely with customer service, operations, billing and clinical operations teams to identify process improvement opportunities consistent with company objectives
  • Manages and maintains expense and promotional budgets for the territory within guidelines

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 2 years prior healthcare sales is the preference and/or 2 years of outside/field B2B (business to business) sales experience
  • Recent experience in the geography (local market knowledge/existing relationships) highly preferred
  • Ability to communicate with high impact
  • Strong and successful healthcare launch experienced preferred
  • Diabetes knowledge and experience is a plus - not required
  • Knowledge/experience with "pull-thru" and specialty pharmacy is a plus
  • Ability to sell "clinically" - able to discuss products and complex disease state(s)
  • Documented successful sales track record
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to execute a sales plan
  • Ability to manage a territory budget and function in a fast-paced emerging company environment
  • Must reside within the assigned region, have the ability to travel 40% executing field sales activities within the assigned region, and attend local and regional business meetings

  • Proven multi-tasking and project planning skills; the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to contribute creative yet practical solutions to problems
  • Must show good judgment and convey professionalism when dealing with clients and challenging situations
  • Flexibility/Adaptability to handle working in a growth stage company environment
  • Ability to build new processes and learn new skills quickly

Interviews may be conducted in person at an on-site interview location. For any in person interviews, local Covid safety guidelines will be followed.
