Job Summary:
The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing and sending customer invoices accurately and promptly while ensuring compliance with government regulations and organizational terms. This role supports revenue and cash cycles, contributing to overall financial efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review invoices daily, including product, service, and cloud-based billings.
- Verify invoicing requirements, pricing, taxes, and freight charges.
- Ensure compliance with E-RATE government invoicing regulations.
- Manage communication with business partners and customers regarding billing inquiries.
- Monitor unbilled revenue reports and resolve pending items.
- Process electronic data interchange (EDI) orders, credit memos, returns, and debit memos.
- Participate in special projects and business system integrations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of billing, invoicing, or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Dynamics, MAS, ConnectWise).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, adapting to changing business needs.
- Experience with MAS and ConnectWise software is a plus.
