What You’ll Have the Opportunity to Do as a Call Center Representative
As a Call Center Representative in the San Leandro office, you will have the opportunity to work with residents, within communities and cities in the bay area, to help them participate in the Energy Savings Assistance Program, PG&E's free public utility program for income qualified customers. This program is a utility sponsored weatherization program that PG&E provides at no cost to its customers. The program provides free energy upgrades and utility savings that would cost the residents hundreds, and in some cases thousands of dollars if they had to pay for them on their own. You’ll have the opportunity to impact the lives of those you assist with these utility programs by helping them see the value of the increased savings and comfort they will gain as a result of their participation.
This position is very interactive with many customers during the course of the day. You will have the opportunity to find and contact customers qualified customers to set up appointments for our team to enroll them into the program and install the free energy upgrades. Here are some of your responsibilities as a Call Center Representative:
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services
- Phone canvass neighborhoods to educate customers on the available offerings and schedule an Energy Specialist a minimum of 5 appointments daily
- Act as a public relations liaison between the customer and our team members
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day
- Attend sales trainings and become proficient in promoting program offerings
- Keep in regular communication with the office, assigned Energy Specialist, and manager
- Represent Synergy Companies as a polished, polite, professional, and knowledgeable representative with a focus on customer satisfaction

- Compensation - Hourly rate plus commissions per completed enrollment (goal to enroll 5 or more customers daily) [$15 per hour $25 per enrollment with at least 21 enrollments per pay period]
