Director of Revenue Cycle

We’re partnering with a Critical Access Hospital to hire a Director of Revenue Cycle to lead all aspects of patient financial services, including patient access, billing, coding, collections, payment posting, and HIM. This Director of Revenue Cycle works closely with the CFO and hospital leadership to optimize cash flow, improve reimbursement, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency in a rural healthcare setting.This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing revenue cycle teams and processes end-to-end, with a strong focus on Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, denial management, AR performance, compliance, and staff development. Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare environment is strongly preferred.Qualifications for Director of Revenue CycleBachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)10 years of revenue cycle experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level roleStrong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance reimbursement and complianceIn-depth understanding of medical coding and billing (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)Experience with EHR and revenue cycle systems (Cerner / Oracle preferred)Proven leadership experience overseeing billing, coding, patient access, collections, and HIM teamsStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting preferredThis role is critical to the hospital’s financial health and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused healthcare environment.This is a *remote* opportunity.
