Dog Walker

We have two job openings available!

• We are in search of a professional dog walker/pet sitter! Must be available to visit pets between the hours of 7am-9am, 11am-2:30pm, 4pm-7pm and 8pm-10pm. You must be available five days a week and for all of these hours.
• Starting off, you will be assigned between 3-6 walks per day. The number of client visits will vary weekly based upon the client's needs and when they need pet care.

- The starting pay rate is $15 per walk. Eligible for a pay raise after 6 months of employment based on your job performance.

Job Location: Severna Park and Pasadena MD. As a result of travel and job times, it is required you reside within either Severna Park or Pasadena. No exceptions.

- Most important- you must love dogs and have a compassionate loving heart.

- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Maryland driver’s license

- A minimum of 1 year of previous work experience working professionally with dogs is required. If you have worked as a professional dog walker in the past, this is a huge bonus!

- Must have an Iphone

- You must have amazing time management skills, be independent and work with little direction. You must be able to think "on your feet" and use strong reasoning skills

- Must pass a background check and drug test

- Available to work all holidays and at least two weekends a month

- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Must be able to control dogs between 5-90lbs

- Must be able use you previous work experience to "read" dog body language. Like humans, dogs have their own personality and temperament. You will never work with aggressive dogs, but there may be times that you will have to work with the dog to make them comfortable. Sometimes this will require patience- you will always have to keep a calm disposition.

- Must be adaptable/flexible. This job requires frequent shift in direction

Management will email schedules on Sundays by 5pm that will outline your route, along with instructions for the visits. On a typical day, you will leave your house to get to your first visit and jump from client house to client house consecutively. Each client visit is customized for the pet's needs. All of our client visits are documented and tracked through our phone App and a report will be sent to the client and management when the visit is completed.

With all of the business stuff out of the way! This is a fun job if you love animals! We have been in business for over 8 years and have built a strong bond with both our human and furry clients! This job can be really rewarding if you love making tails wag. We are looking for someone who wants to be with us long term, so if you are looking for seasonal work please don't apply.
