What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Synergy Search?
The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and supporting the Controller and Assistant Controller as needed. The ideal Accountant will have strong communication skills and possess a high degree of business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Reconciling bank statements and accounts
- Managing income and expenditure accounts
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company and ensure information is updated
- Performing risk analysis evaluations.
- Recording expenses and preparing financial reports.
- Working with external auditors.
- Ensuring the accuracy of bookkeeping and that the bookkeeping is compliant with state and federal laws.
- Recording disbursements and payments.
- Examining financial documents and financial transactions to ensure compliance and rectify any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or advanced accounting degree preferred
- Strong communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- 2 years of experience
