What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher Child Care position at Syracuse University?
Position supervises children while providing a safe, nurturing, responsive, and inclusive educational environment using developmentally appropriate practices. Assistant Teacher observes, documents, and assesses children's behaviors in order.-to support and contribute to decisions regarding individual children's needs in all domains of learning. Participates in required training hours, maintains CPR & First Aid certification, has daily communication with parents, and coordinates bi-annual parent conferences and parent reports. The ideal candidate has experience working in an early education center and holds a degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
