The Facilities Coordinator is a key member of the Operations unit within the newly formed Student Engagement Office. Comprised of four functional units (Engagement, Event and Technical Services, Leadership and Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), and Operations), the Student Engagement Office serves the Syracuse University community as a resource and information network supporting Schine and Goldstein Student Centers, registered student organizations (RSOs), non-academic events, and student development programs centered on leadership, connection, and community.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One year experience in managing operations and/or student supervision required.
- Demonstrated success in student employee training and supervision required.
- Experience in higher education, student center/union, or student services setting required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 360, WhenToWork, and 25Live platforms strongly preferred.
- Create, organize, communicate, and implement setup and diagram needs for all event and meeting logistics to Operations and Student Engagement student and professional staff members.
- Provide shared oversight of student employee training, scheduling, payroll, and hiring operations. This includes approximately 4 Operations Student Leads and 70 student employees.
- Coordinate technical and production services and event requests for registered student organizations (RSOs), academic and administrative departments, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor facility usage, security, safety, and quality by reporting building maintenance needs. Recommend policy changes/updates/additions.
- Create and distribute daily event diagrams, event notes, and reports using Microsoft Visio and the 25Live scheduling system.
